There has been quite a lot happening at the MMA camp where President Dana White recently made an announcement stating the start of UFC 149 at Canada. The tournament will however be headed by the feather weight champion Jose Aldo, who will fight to defend his current title. He has gone a long way to win this title and make sure that he has managed o win successfully all throughout. His 14 stretch win is quite amazing and he hopes that he can continue the winning streak by finishing off the first game in a victorious manner.
The Show will take place at Scotia Bank Saddle home which can accommodate over 19 thousand people. Located in Calgary and home to the NHL Calgary Flames, the UFC 149 press conference will be open to fans in the early morning hours. This is going to be quite an interesting match and the news itself was a worst kept secret which was finally let out of the bag. Jose Aldo has also made his presence felt in Calgary quite a few times and hence this match might just be really interesting, as fans are bountiful in Calgary, Canada.
Jose Aldo however should not become over confident with his game and should practice and train himself properly. After all, he is here to defend his title and has a lot to lose. With such a huge title being at stake, he should concentrate and focus on his game and ensure that his opponent will not be able to get the upper hand in the fight. The UFC 149 is due to start on July 22nd and hence there is plenty of time to get down to practicing and preparing for the final day.
Aldo will be entering this tournament in a fourteen fight winning streak and has already managed to emerge victorious inside the octagon defeating the likes of Mark, Kenny, Chad Mendes, Wanderlei Silva and a few others. The octagon is hence not a new arena for Jose Aldo and he has managed to build his fan base considerably in these few years. He has always been a star and there is no stopping him from performing even better and getting more achievements. This is the sole reason why Dana white figured that the start of the UFC 149 should begin with Jose Aldo defending his title as this will definitely be a crowd puller.

Every division in wrestling has their own champion, but there’s a particularly large fuss over one in particular; Jose Aldo. He is currently in the featherweight category of the UFC and has a nearly untarnished record of 21-1, with his only loss coming in 2005.
There were George St. Pierre and Anderson Silva, who the fans used to worship and clamor for. Jose’s name has now been added to that list. He has taken on the biggest names in the world and defeated them. People who used to be in heavier categories cut down on their weight so that they could take a shot at beating Jose, but to no avail.
Recently, he dealt a crushing blow at Rio where the UFC featherweight title race was on. He was up against Chad Mendes of the United States. Fighting in front of his home crowd sure had its share of advantages, but his impeccable technique and fierce speed left Chad no chance. Jose spun and knocked Chad senseless on his back with an impeccably timed knee movement that caught the American straight in the face. The Brazilian won the title with just a second to spare in the first round. Jose also landed two punches to the senseless American’s face before the referee had to drag him away. Having been removed from the action, Jose sprinted out of the octagon and headed to his supporters in the HSBC arena, who promptly raised him on their shoulders, exultant with joy. This was the UFC’s second event in Brazil, following an absence of 13 years. Aldo has won 14 consecutive fights since the end of 2005, which included the defense of the featherweight title thrice. In an interview following the match, Aldo said that he loves to fight in front of his home crowd.
